Chile/Argentina
“Overall our 4 week holiday to Chile and Argentina was exceptional. Every day was different, all our guides were excellent and your little green booklet was invaluable. You took into consideration all our interests and worked within our budget to put together a trip to suit us. It was the perfect mix of guided excursions combined with some free days to be more independent, and do our own thing. The Atacama more than exceeded our expections, having a hire car in the Chilean lake district suited us very well and our stay at Cerro Guido in Patagonia was a real highlight. In Argentina we had an excellent day visiting Perito Moreno Glacier and did some great hiking, and a bike ride, in El Chalten in Los Glaciares National Park. Buenos Aires is great city and La Bandada in the Pampas was wonderful. We learnt so much and felt very spoilt at times - thank you again for organising such a wonderful trip, we will have no hesitation in recommending Last Frontiers.” - BF travelled in November 2025

“Our holiday in Argentina was terrific. Having never been to North-west Argentina before I was completely amazed and entranced by the beauty and magestic scenery that we encountered. Difficult to pick one highlight as there were so many. Campo Piedra Pomez, Las Senoritas Gorge and the Serranias del Hornocal are just a few of the beautiful places we visited. All the arrangements went very smoothly, apart from the bus delay and then the electrical blackout in Chile! We could say it all added to our adventure!

Cuba
“Many thanks for organising a fabulous holiday in Cuba for us. The local agency was great and provided a solid platform and base for our trip from the moment we arrived, giving us confidence from the outset that all would work efficiently (at least, so far as possible in Cuba). Particular praise and thanks go to our driver, who went out of his way to ensure we were not only in the right place at the right time but also added value by sorting extra trips and also managing to get us into a couple of places which were officially closed. He was always positive and cheerful notwithstanding a few obstacles, such as the inevitable black-outs. All in all, a trip to remember.” - AB&AP travelled in January 2025
Mexico
“Thank you for arranging the trip which worked really well and it’s another one ticked off the bucket list. All the guides were really great, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and proud of their heritage. With a trip like this it is always difficult to pick out the highlights - so many places and sights! Mexico City was vibrant and interesting but we weren’t sorry to leave the smog behind. Oaxaca and Campeche were our favourite cities - both colonial-style hotels and buildings make you feel you have arrived in the real Mexico. They were relaxed and friendly, good places to visit. If we have to choose a favourite archaeological site it would be the small Kabah site which we arrived at quite early in the morning. It was so quiet we had it almost to ourselves.It was quite right to include the day of relaxation at the Hacienda Santa Rosa. After lots of travelling and visits it was good to have a rest. Likewise, the final days on the beachside Ana y José in Tulum were just right.” - S&JH travelled in February 2025

“We had a really excellent holiday and want to thank you very much for all your hard work, especially with the inevitable hitches and glitches. I also finished reading the Brian Keenan and John McCarthy book you sent me. It was wonderful and it's such a great and unique idea to send a book to your clients. The ground services were all super with good communication, punctual and friendly. The Australis cruise lived up to expectations and the cabin, food, service, excursions etc. were superb. El Chalten was my favourite part of the trip. I loved the relaxed, laid back vibe, we had perfect walking weather and I loved being able to hike straight out the door, no park fees or transport needed. Ecuador/Galapagos/Peru
“We had an incredible time and I wanted to drop you a note to say thank you and fill you in on the highlights. Mashpi Lodge is remarkable, the Galapagos was extrodinary and the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu were utter highlights. All the support from the local guides was excellent. In Ecuador Marco was so thoughtful and postive and quietly eager for us to sample Ecuador both as food and as culture. Wilda, who guided us in the Sacred Valley, was incredible and hugely knowledgeable. We felt supported at all times and were consequently able to relax and enjoy all around us.
We have returned loaded with photographs and memories and are beginning to think about returning at some stage – the Eastern Galapagos route is calling and we do want to go down to Patagonia. We have other plans coming up, but may well be back in touch in a year or so. None of this could have happened without your hard work on our behalf and we thank you so much for all your help and advice.” - JP travelled in February 2025
Costa Rica
“Thank you so so much for all of your help, it was a really special trip and I’m already missing Costa Rica. All our hotels and transfers were perfect and your itinerary suited us so well. Having the transfers all sorted made it so easy for us and I’m so grateful that our trip was planned so well and allowed us to see everything we wanted to.
Our highlights were definitely Mawamba Lodge (Tortuguero), as their staff were just brilliant and the boat trip, the town and the Caribbean Coast was beautiful. For us Arenal and La Fortuna was incredible. The waterfall was amazing (very refreshing!) and the location of the hotel, and being able to wake up and see the Volcano from the balcony was unbelievable. Of course all of our locations were outstanding and we enjoyed every single place we visited.
Everything was so easy and my only downside was that it went so quickly and I wish we had been able to spend longer there. Thank you again for all of your help, we had the best time and I have fallen in love with Costa Rica!” - BS travelled in March 2024
Falkland Islands
“The Falkland Islands were amazing, I enjoyed it a lot. Especially because it was end of the season and many of the places I visited I had to myself. There were islands where I spent the night 11km away from the next person, only with a radio to communicate in emergencies. It was a good itinerary for the week we initially planned – sad that some of the islands had to close due to the bird flu and hopefully it will be ok next season. I definitely recommend the Falklands as a destination, it was probably one of the highlights of my trip.” - IJ travelled in March 2024

“In a nutshell we had an amazing experience. Some extraordinarily beautiful scenery/landscapes, great people (particularly the Chileans we met), some fantastic food (everywhere) and simply a great vibe wherever we went. The only downside I would have to say is that we did too much. Looking back we could easily have spent 4 weeks just in Chile, but the temptation to see as many places as we could got the better of us and now we need a holiday to recover! Argentina/Antarctica
“We're home and had a brilliant trip. We loved Buenos Aires, the cruise to Antarctica with Aurora Expeditions was fantastic and a couple of nights on an estancia in the Pampas was the perfect way to end before flying home. We were very lucky with the weather and over the moon with all elements of the cruise. There were 120 passengers on board the ship which was a very good number, and it was a nice mix of nationalities. The ship, Greg Mortimer, was very comfortable, the food was very good, and the expedition team and all the staff on board were excellent. The kayaking was great and camping on shore for a night was a unique experience. We have 1000's of photos and lots of wonderful memories.
